WARNING: INCOMING RAGE. Confession #1: I wanted to bitch-slap Sawyer in The Vincent Boys. Although he started off as a nice enough guy, the fact that he let people hit, abuse and bully his ex girlfriend when they broke up was really fucking sad. Do you really feel so weak that you let other people do your dirty work? You couldn't be a fucking adult and deal with your dirty laundry yourself? Confession #2: I actually LIKED him in the first five pages of The Vincent Brothers. I felt bad for the guy. W WARNING: INCOMING RAGE. Do you really feel so weak that you let other people do your dirty work? You couldn't be a fucking adult and deal with your dirty laundry yourself? Confession #2: I actually LIKED him in the first five pages of The Vincent Brothers. I felt bad for the guy. Wherever he turned, he had to see his brother feeling up his ex-girlfriend like she's some sort of appetizing meal. And fuck me, Ashton loves to rub it in. "Oh look at me, Sawyer! Look at Beau! LOOK, HIS HANDS ARE ON MY TITS!" She never bothered NOT attracting attention whenever Sawyer was around. She might as well have had a sign flashing "ATTENTION SEEKING CHEATING EX GIRLFRIEND" on her forehead. But it only lasted five pages. Let's get one thing straight: Every single character in this book is fucking stupid. You have: 1 Desperate Chick trying to screw her cousin's ex boyfriend because "lifelong love" and all that shit. 1 Desperate Douchebag who wants to use said Desperate Chick to make his ex girlfriend jealous. 1 Violent Fucknuckle who constantly threatens his brother because he dares to look at his ex girlfriend/ex best friend. 1 Attention Seeking Cheating Ex Girlfriend who is screwing Desperate Douchebag's brother but doesn't want anyone else to touch Desperate Douchebag. The Story: Desperate Chick: OMG! My cousin just broke up with her boyfriend, Desperate Douchebag, so she can have sex with his brother, Violent Fucknuckle! This means I need to totally reinvent my wardrobe, have a makeover and learn how to flirt so I can bag Desperate Douchebag for myself! It's written in the stars! My time has come!!!!11!1! Desperate Douchebag: My Attention Seeking Cheating Ex Girlfriend's cousin got HAWT in six months! DAMN, look at those legs! That round 'bottom' (side note: who the fuck says 'bottom' at eighteen?)! Those boobs! Aw, man, she's drinking through a straw. She obviously wants to suck my dick. I'm totally gonna let her. Maybe my Attention Seeking Cheating Ex Girlfriend will realise what she left behind. Attention Seeking Cheating Ex Girlfriend: I'm going to tell Desperate Chick to stay the fuck away from Desperate Douchebag because he only wants her for one thing, but in reality, I like to have both Vincent Boys Dickheads for myself. So, I'm going to create LOTS AND LOTS OF DRAMATIC SCENARIOS where Desperate Douchebag HAS to take care of me, and maybe Desperate Chick will leave. 4eva. Violent Fucknuckle: Omfg, Desperate Douchebag smiled at my girlfriend. He obviously wants to fuck her. I'm gonna threaten him and maybe beat the shit out of him a couple of times because no one fucking smiles at my girl!11!11!!!!! FUCKHADABDMFHBLJHABFJ. *caveman roar* Desperate Chick: Desperate Douchebag has stood me up three times. Omg. Maybe he doesn't like me??? Maybe I've been fooling myself this entire time??? What am I going to do now?! *cries* But I can't leave!!! We did stuff, like dry-humped in his car!!! SO MANY MEMORIES!!!!! Desperate Douchebag: I'm so sorry baby, Imma make it up to you. Come on, let's go out, I'll treat you real ni-- *phone rings* *MY ATTENTION SEEKING CHEATING EX GIRLFRIEND flashes on screen* Aw, sorry chick, gotta run. MASCEG needs me. *runs* Desperate Chick: *wails* *run away* ASCEG: *cackles* FINALLY, I GET THEM BOTH FOR MYSELF. Wait a minute, what the fuck? Violent Fucknuckle: *runs over Desperate Douchebag* STOP SMILING AT HER *sets him on fire* DON'T FUCKING BREATHE NEAR HER YOU FUCKING CREEP. *throws grenade* LEAVE HER ALONE. THE. END. That is, pretty much, the overall plot for this... erm, 'book'. It's nothing but jealousy and drama upon drama upon drama. Sawyer makes Lana cry more times than I can count, Lana runs away, Ashton creates MORE drama and makes Sawyer and Beau fight CONSTANTLY for no reason whatsoever. Oh, and enter some side characters who conveniently spout monologues to 'right' the world: ETHAN: I have literally no role in this story except to tell Lana that she's beautiful, smart, funny and that she should go live her life and be happy but she should definitely give Sawyer a second another ten million chances because hormonez. I mean, LOL, girls OBVIOUSLY can't be happy without a man in their lives. Watch me never turn up a-fucking-gain. NICOLE: I'm a super slut! I'm only around to grope Desperate Douchebag and Violent Fucknuckle and make everyone jealous! I am only here so people realise how much they love their other halves. Desperate Douchebag almost screwed me in his car "just to get it over with" -- that's a compliment, right? What a load of wank. Oh, and that ending? BARFBARFBARF. Fucking engagements and weddings and HEAs. They should've all drowned on a boat. Or been devoured by rabid sharks.

But in this book, they met again and became romantically involved when Lana went to Grove to spend time with Ash and to temporarily get away with her family issues. Lana was, at the same time, aiming to finally get Sawyer's attention who was her secret childhood crush. Things, however, were not that simple because despite the sexual tension between them, Sawyer still hasn't moved on from his heartbreak over Beau and Ash's romance. I totally loved this book. It was so much better than the first one. The ultimate reason was of course, SAWYER VINCENT. This guy and his sexy Southern drawl... *swoons I didn't expect myself to like him better because his character in the first book seemed off and shallow. But here... He's a total Mr. Hottie McHottie and his character improved a lot. I admit he was a total a-hole in the first parts of this book but throughout the rest of the book, I understood him even better and I ended up falling for him. I simply love the romance here. It was emotional and there was so much sexual tension between Sawyer and Lana. All throughout the book I found these two so cute and adorable. They've got the chemistry that I rarely feel in some romance books. There was also a lot of things that happened here. I loved the adventure Sawyer and Lana experienced together with their group of friends. I also loved the push-and-pull thing between the couple and the series of conflicts that was resolved in a sweet manner. Other than that, there was also family drama which made me cry. And that HEA? It was so perfect! The moment I closed the book, I practically hugged it with a smile on my face. I need more books like this! Rating:

Sawyer has always been the one for Lana. Ever since they were childhood playmates, it was always Sawyer and Lana against Beau and Ash. When Beau and Ash would torment her, Sawyer would come to Lana's rescue. She's nursed a long-time crush and had to watch Ash and Sawyer together for three years, knowing Ash didn't fully appreciate him. Sawyer's always been the right Vincent Boy in her mind. Now that things are over between Ash and Sawyer, Lana visits, hoping to finally catch Sawyer's eye. Rememb Sawyer has always been the one for Lana. Remember prim, proper, and polite Sawyer from The Vincent Boys, with all his polite and chaste kisses for Ash? Well after Ashton breaks up with him to be with Beau, Sawyer goes through a bit of a change. When Sawyer catches sight of Lana, he's beside himself. Was Lana always this sexy and tempting? And why should he resist now that Ash has broken up and moved on? A new plan of distraction and fun forms in Sawyer's head, and if Ash is jealous, well that's just a fringe benefit. (jerk!) Lana brings out in Sawyer what Ash never did. She stirs up overpowering feelings and desires he never knew he had. Here's a sample of what Lana does to Sawyer: Sawyer:"You think I'm a better choice than Beau? He's the bad one, you know. The dangerous one. Girls like bad boys."-----I shivered as he took another step closer, his eyes never leaving their study of my lips……Forcing myself to remain calm, I responded, "Not all girls." "Hmmm…" He raised his hand and gently ran the pad of his thumb over my bottom lip. I mentally imagined biting his thumb and pulling it into my mouth to suck but I didn't. Instead, I just stopped breathing. "They are as soft as they look….maybe softer," he whispered, then he lowered his head and before I could take a calming breath his mouth was on mine. *Faints* What starts out as no more than a distraction in Sawyer's mind, quickly turns into something else, something more. Oh my!! Sawyer is far from perfect in this story and he screws up a number of times. I wanted to smack some sense into that boy, but turns out I didn't have to. With every stupid action he makes, he counters it with a heart-stopping, sweet and loving one. Sawyer notices that Lana is closed off and doesn't easily confide in people, and he wants to be the one she confides in, the one who comforts and protects her. So much for just a summer distraction! Even though I couldn't help but fall for Sawyer, Lana is the one that steals my heart in this story. She is so sweet, understanding, and innocent. Never bitter, even though in my opinion, she has reason to be. Lana having to hear and deal with her parent's messy divorce, broke my heart. They cared more about themselves than her well being. No child should be put in the middle of bickering parents. Don't even get me started on the Dad! He failed Lana miserably! Ugh!! To me, she should've been angry with Ash a couple of times, but she never blamed her. I was a little afraid to read this because I loved The Vincent Boys so much, I didn't want anything to mess with Beau and Ash's story. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I loved this story as much, or maybe even a bit more than The Vincent Boys. I didn't think I could love Sawyer as much as Beau, but I was wrong. As an added bonus we get a perfect epilogue that make you sigh and go awww. Abbi Glines also posted a extra bonus scene, you can find it on her blog here. So if you haven't read The Vincent Boys or The Vincent Brothers what are you waiting for? Go, go, go!! You can find this review and more on The Readers Den

After speaking with some friends, I decided to come back and revise some of my extreme ranting and raise my rating to a solid 3 star. Important things first. These covers make me want lots and lots of candy, specifically caramel apple pops because this new lollipop looks like a green apple. I don't recall there being lots and lots of candy consumption among the pages. Someone's toying with me, trying to get me to associate candy and sex. I'm not complaining. I like candy and sex (or the song Sex and Candy). I'm just not sure how it relates to the Vincent Boys. I admit, I liked the book overall, even though I still had a few complaints. Story-wise, it had me like cute little kittens and puppies have me. You want to cuddle with the adorable little kittens...until the little turds scratch you. Have you ever been scratched by a kitten? Talk about miniature claws of doom. Who would think that something so tiny and adorable could be so scary? Thank the heavens that Sawyer stepped up his game. Finally. The boy has a working male part, it's good to know. For whatever reason, he never managed to figure this out during his 3 year relationship with Ash. Is he for real? What hormonal teenage boy (not counting those with actual reasons, such as personal or spiritual beliefs) doesn't want to get it on with his girlfriend? Because he thinks she's so brilliantly perfect? Uh...yeah. I guarantee you that no teenage boy is going to be with any girl for 3 years and not ever try to get past 1st base. Come back to the real world, Sawyer. I call BS on this statement of his : "Never, did I think about being inside her." Whoops, I forgot that I was still in the "pros" section, not the "cons" section. Let me reel this in and say what was great about the story. I liked caveman Sawyer better than caveman Beau. Yep. I said it. Sawyer used his primal urges for the forces of good. I also appreciated that there was a bit of game playing and questionable behavior. Not everything during the teen years happens in a "get from point A to point B" manner. Misunderstandings and making people jealous and beating around the bush does come in to play when you're unsure of how the other person feels. As long as the story doesn't get overrun with it (which didn't happen), a little bit of this does provide some accuracy when it comes to the world of teen dating and relationships. I really liked how Lana was working out her bizarre behavior in her head and trying to justify her thinking because most of us have done this at one point or another : Maybe the healthy response would've been to stand my ground and force him to accept I was my own person. But I didn't. I wanted to be wanted. Something else that worked for me was seeing how both Sawyer and Beau thought the other Vincent had everything handed to them. The grass is rarely greener on the other side of the fence, no matter how much we think it is. The dual PoV's worked well in this series because the story became more interesting when we got to see how Beau and Sawyer's minds worked. The biggest positive : Sawyer never fell too hard, too fast. He knew that he was still carrying a torch for Ash and was honest with Lana about not being completely ready to move on. Huge points for this. This book is worth the read just to see this love story unfold. The timeline was handled perfectly. And there was some nice sexual tension in this water-boarding (not the torture kind) scene: "Hmmm...that's nice," Sawyer whispered into the curve of my neck. I tightened my hold on him and buried my face in his shoulder. A warm sexy chuckle vibrated within his chest. We were up and going before I could think about anything else. My legs clamped down on his waist so tightly the hard arousal I'd felt earlier was now firmly pressed against me. "Ah, hell," he whispered in my ear and I shifted, wondering if I weighed too much or was holding on too tight. "Please Lana, don't move. I can't concentrate when you do that." The smoldering gleam in his eyes sent my body into a warm frenzy. "Am I hurting you?" Sawyer shook his head and pressed a kiss to my forehead. "Not the way you think. Hang on, I'm going to give you a little bit of a ride." Lana and Sawyer's story was enjoyably easy to read. Thankfully, their story does take up most of the book. Moving on to the "I want my money back" part of the review : The recycled characters and scenarios keep on happening. I want to be wowed by seeing something new. We had another issue with a parent cheating on another parent with a much younger woman? It's Because of Low all over again. *mini spoiler ahead, click at your own risk.* How about (view spoiler)[siblings finding out they're related after so many years? (hide spoiler)] Again...saw this in BoL. Enough with the romance lingo. I read YA romance to get away from the adult stereotypes. As much as I love getting lost in adult romance, there's a reason I step away from it when I've read too much. After a while, they all start blending together. At least with YA romance we don't have to deal with the terminology that we've come to expect as normal in adult romance. And then this book decided to borrow the crap that I was trying to get away from. Terms resembling something like these : "coming apart in my arms," or "his fingers found my folds," and "his big hands moved up my back" NO. STOP IT. No teenage guy is going think the words "came apart in my arms." I feel like sometimes authors get this idea in their head that there's certain catchphrases that need to be used. Borrowing from adult romance is not the way to go. Enough with the self-reflection. Lana's long letter of explanation to Ash sounded like badly reused "after school special" (yes, I know, most people under the age of late 20's/early 30's probably have no clue what I'm talking about). She rambled on about how miserable her life was and how she couldn't trust people, etc. It bordered on cheesy and melodramatic. And I'm guessing most people don't know how to figure themselves out that well on their own. She might as well have been self-diagnosing her problems. I see a future in psychiatry. My last complaint is that I think Beau finally went off the deep end. He was threatening Sawyer that if he so much as RAISED HIS VOICE (try not ever doing this, it's harder than you think), he was going to have to deal with Beau's wrath. Does the following phrase warrant Beau getting riled up? Keep in mind that Sawyer is concerned that his girl has gone missing, so he's a little panicked to begin with. "Did you try calling her? Have you called her mom?" I asked Ashton while trying her number again. "Don't raise your voice at her. I know you're upset but remember my warning." Talk about trigger happy. Any little thing was going to set Beau off. He took his borderline behavior from the last book and continued it, even though Sawyer wasn't a threat anymore. Way to kill off some of my admiration for you, Beau. It's too bad that these fun stories get interjected with sketchy behavior, bad stereotypes, and repeated plot/character devices. I enjoyed the read but little things kept bugging me here and there. The main thing I'd wish for future books from this author would be to see less focus on what people think is "supposed" to be in a romance book. Instead, I'd rather see a choice made to focus on realism over generic romanticism.

I have to say it. I sorta felt like I was cheating on Beau when I started reading this book. I fell in love with Beau in the Vincent Boys, and I loved his hot bad/good boy ways. But now, if I had to choose, it would be a difficult decision. Sawyer was really sweet, but rather dull in the first book. But oh my, not in this one. He got flustered and jealous. His chemistry with Lana was smoking hot. Guess it just goes to show you what the right woman can do for a man. And Abbi shows us Sawyer in a I have to say it. Me.” The Vincent Brothers is a charming sequel, giving us a sweet romance and well-placed drama in true Abbi Glines fashion. Although this has one of the most loathsome and frustrating conflicts in contemporary reads—lack of communication—it, surprisingly, works in this, not at all hindering the enjoyment, instead delivering a sweet love story with likeable enough characters. Sawyer is a hero we can’t help but love the moment we meet him in the first book, his good boy personality, sweet gestures and love for Ashton easily winning us over. In this however, he goes from nice to being an ass, eliciting many frustrating emotions and dimming our previous attraction for him. Fortunately for us though, he redeems himself by the end with his tender declaration of love for Lana and finally getting over Ashton. Lana is not nearly as fun as Ashton, yet she’s no less likeable. Though her continuously forgiving Sawyer for his every moment of utter stupidity grates on our nerves, when she finally develops a backbone, we appreciate her tenacity and applaud her realization that she isn’t meant to be anyone’s second best, our sympathy for her overflowing, and wanting nothing more than to reach in and give her a big hug for all that she has endured. The romance, albeit sweet, leaves a little to be desired, emotionally quiet enough that it pales in comparison to the love we experienced between Ashton and Beau in the previous installment. Nonetheless, the steam is ever present, leaving us in a satisfying place. Overall, The Vincent Brothers is a delightfully pleasant read, reinforcing why—despite its predictability—we as readers enjoy a Abbi Glines romance, the allure of true love and teenage dreams always bringing us back for more. 4.5 stars My conclusion after finishing this book: My most favorite of all Abbi Glines books!!! I loved this! I love Sawyer, I love Lana, I love Beau and Ash, I love the ending. In short I love every-freaking-thing. I laughed, cried, swooned and swooned and swooned and yeah, definitely swooned. Abbi Glines's books give off this feeling that get me this sh*t-eating grin on my face that never got off even after I finished the book and had me giddy the entire time. Abbi Glines's books give off this feeling that get me this sh*t-eating grin on my face that never got off even after I finished the book and had me giddy the entire time. And yes, The Vincent Brothers did just that or I guess, even more. Sawyer's character didn't really strike me anything when I first met him in The Vincent Boys, in fact I thought he was boring and dull. BUT, six months later I realized I was so so wrong. This boy was never a bore and this time his character did actually strike me. Hard. And boy did I fell in love. Sawyer definitely took me by surprise by a lot of things. First, of course, by this sexy and flirty side of him; then him being so sweet and caring to someone other than Ash; and there was also this jerk side of him which really annoyed me. I love how his character changed and developed throughout the entire story and as he realized that he could get over his heartbreak over Ash and care and fall in love to someone who's not her. Lana was a very strong and sweet girl. And I just simply adore her. She was so nice and understanding that you would definitely be angry when someone hurt her. With all she'd been through it was hard not to have this protective feeling over her, even from Sawyer. But I was glad that she was the one who punch some sense to him. I also loved the idea of her getting out of her shell and did herself a make over. She was never oblivious of her beauty and charm yet she remained so nice and down to earth. This was the book that made me least frustrated and worried when it came with the dramas and conflicts from all the books of Abbi Glines I've read. That's probably why this became my most favorite. It was surprisingly easy and it covered every aspect it should have covered without getting too dramatic. So to conclude, this was a very enjoyable, sweet and steamy read. I had so much fun reading this. I loved Sawyer and Lana's chemistry and of course, those sweet, swoon-worthy, hot and steamy moments between them that I am sure most of you will enjoy. Abbi Glines offered a very wonderful epilogue too that left me utterly satisfied with this series. I highly recommend this! Read this! :) This review is also posted at Book Overdose

From my newest critique partner Abbi. For those of you into alpha's you're going to LOVE this. Abbie delivers from the very beginning and continued through the very end. Sawyer is one hot sexy alpha through and through and my goodness I did not think I could fall any more in love with Beau than I had in The Vincent Boys but *sigh*. (view spoiler)[ She also gives us something very special that had me squealing! (hide spoiler)] Ya'll are in for a big treat. Great job, Abbi!

Okay, so this was one of my most highly anticipated books for the year, and I'm SO glad it's finally out!! Vincent Boys was one of my all-time favorite stories, I fell in love with Beau and just couldn't get enough of him and Ash!! I wasn't sure how I'd feel with the sequel because I knew it was Sawyer's story. It must be a very daunting task for a writer to take a character that you purposefully made somewhat 'expendable' relationship-wise in one book to suddenly be a heartthrob in the sequel. I wasn't sure how I'd feel with the sequel because I knew it was Sawyer's story. It must be a very daunting task for a writer to take a character that you purposefully made somewhat 'expendable' relationship-wise in one book to suddenly be a heartthrob in the sequel. That's kind of how I felt about Sawyer; he was sweet and lovable, but Beau's sexy, cocky, bad-boy personality just blew right through him for me! But Abbi nailed it in Vincent Brothers, creating another side to Sawyer that I never saw coming and very much enjoyed!! Oh, and the added bonus of seeing Beau and Ash happy and unable to keep their hands off each other... =) Sawyer is still pretty hung up on Ash this time around, but he's trying so hard to get past it all. Enter Ash's cousin Lana! When he sees Lana and realizes that the plain Jane is now a foxy lady, I just loved his reaction!! He practically molests her with his stare, much to her delight. =) The fact that Lana had loved him for years and never thought she'd have a chance b/c of Ash really brought their story full-circle. After we learn more about Lana's family and what she puts up with, my heart just broke for her when she had to deal with Sawyer's behavior. Her feelings are so hurt by his selfish comments and inability to stay out of Ash's problems, and it was so crushing every time he makes her feel unwanted!! God, this poor girl just could not catch a break, and I wanted to slap Sawyer and shake Ash for not stopping to think about her. Of course, Sawyer was hurting too, and having to be around Ash all of the time without being the one she goes to still felt wrong after so many years. It was like they were stuck in this whirlpool and Sawyer couldn't drag himself out of it to see what he had right in front of him with Lana. Sawyer's behavior wasn't the only thing that changed for Vincent Brothers, and boy was that a pleasant surprise!! He was such the 'good boy' in VB that I was never expecting the dirty little mind this boy has grown into!! It's not easy to make a virgin, straight-laced character suddenly be oozing in sex appeal, but boy was I ever fanning myself over Sawyer!! He's definitely moved past his shyness about going farther than first base, and he and Lana have some serious sexual tension going on! Whew!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I absolutely loved having more time with my Vincent boys!! Seeing Sawyer's side was an awesome way to wrap up their story, too, and he and Lana were just perfect for each other. It was like Lana was just what Sawyer needed to finally move on, and he made her become the strong woman she needed to be. This was a sweet, hot, heart-pounding, fun story and I just wish I didn't have to say goodbye to my boys!! I loved the way it all wrapped up in the epilogue, though, it was a beautiful ending to their journey!!

I wasn't sure if I'm going to like this book because I'm not a fan of Sawyer Vincent. Still, I'm intrigued how will he move on after losing his girlfriend, Ashton over Beau Vincent. It hurts to see the girl he once loved with another guy. As the story continues, Ashton's cousin, Lana McDaniel came in the picture. She had a long-time crush over Sawyer and she will take a chance to see the real her. Hoping that he will like her as much as she did. Also hoping he is over with her cousin. I find this slightly better than the previous book.Lana is more likable than Ashton. She's such a sweet, selfless, understanding and genuine lady. Even if Sawyer was a total jerk on most parts of the book and hurt her feelings, she forgave him. I just love this lady. Beautiful inside and out. Sawyer's character development is really good. He totally tested my patience for him being an a-hole. Lana didn't deserved to be treated the way he did. I loved it when he finally get to his senses and realizes how truly he hurt her. He made sure that he's going to win Lana back in his life. That changes my impressionon him. Call me a hopeless romantic but I swooned when he pulled off that letter. That left me speechless and emotional. I just find it romantic. The chemistry between these two are just so good! I really like it. Overall, it's a great conclusion for the series. Final rating: 4.5 / 5 stars!

Meet Sawyer Vincent: He use to be the towns golden boy, sweet, polite, considerate of everyone, but once Beau and Ashton started dating he began to change. Now he's turning into the wild child, with buckets full of sex appeal. Meet Lana McDaniels: The last time we saw her she was prim, proper and soft spoken. Now she's redid herself from the boring girl who was easily forgettable and into out spoken, sarcastic girl dripping with seduction who's unforgettable. These two have no idea what's coming their way. As fate would have it they both end up at the same restaurant. Once Sawyer finds out Lana's staying for the summer, he offers to give her a ride to Ash's. But Sawyer isn't like Lana remembers. He's acting bipolar. First he's upset, then he's being nice, he acts like he wants her, then he ignores her, he's mad and then he's kissing her. What the hell. "That crap with Ash and Beau, none of it was your fault. I just needed an outlet to vent and you were the only person around. I was wrong. Forgive me?" ... “They are as soft as they look... maybe softer.” he whispered, then he lowered his head and before I could take a calming breath his mouth was on mine. ... "I shouldn’t have done that Lana. I’m sorry. I was upset and I just didn’t think." Sawyer is definitely not himself. He proves it even more when he makes an ass of himself the next night at a party by getting drunk. As much as Lana likes Sawyer, she's not putting up with his shit. “Glad you two are leaving. Lana and I needed a room.” "You know what, I think I will leave with Ash and Beau." "Wait. No. What I do?" But a Vincent boy is a Vincent boy and if anyone would know it'd be Ash, who picks up on things almost immediately. "I can’t believe you’re telling me a Vincent boy brought you to Grove, Alabama and not me.” Shrugging, I returned her smile, “They’re hard to resist.” “Don’t I know it.” When Sawyer invites Lana out the next day, she agrees, but Sawyer has double intentions. Yes, he likes her, but he also wants to make Ash jealous. Two problems: A) Ash is with Beau; she's not jealous. B) Lana's going to end up hurt if he keeps this up. Ironically, Sawyer is the one getting jealous when Ethan invites Lana to a concert with him and a few others. That's not flying with him. What does he do? Get a concert ticket too. Sawyer refuses to let Lana out of his sight with Ethan, so he turns on the charm... full blast. “Sawyer Vincent is hot, Lana. He has never, and I mean never, unleashed what I just witnessed on anyone ever. I mean the boy was always so polite and respectful. I didn’t know he had it in him. But damn, I swear I need to throw some ice down my shirt. I’ve always thought he was beautiful, but he couldn’t compete with Beau in sex appeal because he was so... good. But wow-oh-wow, was he dripping with it just now.” But God forbid someone call him out. “Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about. You want that girl. Sweet, prim, and proper Lana went and got all sexy and she’s getting under your skin." "I’m not in danger of falling in love with someone like Lana. She’s a distraction. Sure, I treat her differently; she is different but she’s just for fun.” Sawyer goes to explain himself: “I’m not good for you. I don’t know why you make me want you so bad. I was angry with myself when I said all that earlier. I was mad because I wanted you in a way I’d never experienced before. You get to me in a way you don't understand." Lana agrees to give Sawyer a chance and hang out with him the rest of the summer. Only her life isn't just that simple. Her dad's getting married to a 23 year old who happens to be pregnant. Her only comfort? Ash. I’d never been one to share my emotions. I kept things inside. Dealt with them on my own. But knowing someone was there and cared— it meant a lot. After hanging out and going on a few dates, Sawyer and Lana are doing pretty good. But Lana is super nervous about the camping trip over the weekend. “Bears can’t unzip tents, Lana.” “Well, chainsaw psychos who wander the woods looking for young girls all alone to chop up into pieces can." Her saving grace is Sawyer. Sawyer: I’ll keep you safe. Me: Maybe during the day but at night when I’m alone in my tent they’ll come for me. Sawyer: Alone in your tent? Um, no. You’re in my tent. But this camping trip is going to be full of surprises. After a long day, Sawyer comes into the tent and things get heated. But Lana's inexperienced and ends up thinking Sawyer is mad. “Let me explain it to you. I just had a beautiful girl trust me enough to touch her and see her in a way no one else ever has. I got to hold her and watch her and feel her as she came apart in my arms. It was like nothing else I’d ever experienced.” “But you acted tense or angry when I reacted that way and moved away from me like you didn’t want to be near me anymore.” “Lana, I was using every amount of self-control I could find to keep from pulling off those shorts of yours. What you thought was anger was me forcing myself to calm the fuck down.” “I could help with your um... need for release. I mean it is my fault you’re like this. I could... I mean, I want to help.” “Ah, shit. No. I’m not letting you do that.” “I want to.” Sawyer shook his head, “No, Lana. I’ll go up to the bath house and fix this.” Shoving his hand away with more strength than was required, I continued to undo his shorts. “Ohgod, HOLY SHIT." But this trip quickly takes a bad turn when Lana gets a phone call from her dad saying she's uninvited to the wedding. Problem was if he was too broke to fly her to the wedding, then there goes her college plans too. How much was I supposed to take before I crumbled? I needed someone to listen to me. Someone to hold me while I cried. I just needed someone to care about me. For once, I needed it to be about me. I needed Sawyer. But Sawyer is about to make the biggest mistake. Ash was sick, and instead of being there for Lana, he ran to help Ash. I’d loved two men in my life and I’d not been enough for either of them. I would never be their first choice. Sawyer realized just how big of a mistake he was making, but it was too late the damage was done. She didn’t trust anyone enough to let them in—until last night. She’d decided she could let me in, and what had I done? I’d thrown her trust in her face. God, I was the world’s biggest idiot. Stop here if you haven't read the book By the grace of God, Lana forgives Sawyer, but that doesn't mean she's still not hurt. “I’m going to fix this. I promise you. You’ll trust me again." The more thinking Sawyer does the more he comes to a conclusion. “The fact I want... no, I need, for us to be exclusive until we part ways when we head off to college.” “Okay. That sounds like a good plan." So over the next few weeks they continue their relationship. What was once a summer fling was turning into more. Especially at Sawyer's lake party. But all that changes when Sawyer makes a decision he's gonna regret. Ash shows up in his drive way showing him a text that makes it look like Beau cheated on her. What does Sawyer do? Cancel plans with Lana to go find Beau. When Lana gets the text that Sawyer sends, she's done. She thought things had changed but she was an idiot. Sawyer would always choose Ash first. So she leaves. She calls Ethan and he takes her to her friend's beach condo. Back in Grove, Sawyer shows up at Beau's and explains what happened. Turns out the girl who texted was his aunt not another girl. BUT now Sawyer has to face the music and beg Lana to forgive him. [image error] But when Sawyer gets to Ash's to pick up Lana, he's met by Beau. "Remember, Ash got upset. She acted on instinct. What happened as a repercussion wasn't her fault." Lana left a letter. When Sawyer reads it he RAISES HELL. "WHERE IS SHE?" I roared beating my fist against the wall, trying to see through the tears blurring my vision. "Beau, he's crying! Do something." When Beau talks to Sawyer alone, things become clear as day for Sawyer. “I get it. You love her. But crying like a fucking pussy ain’t gonna do one bit of good. We have to find her. It takes big boys to do that. Think you can dry up the well and help me think this through?” “Did you just say, ‘I love her’?” "Really Saw? You gotta ask me that? When you lost Ash did you cry?" "No." "Did you want to or were you just mad?" "No." “Didn’t think so. ‘Cause although you loved Ash, she wasn’t the one. When you fall for the one that owns you, she’ll be the only one that has the power to make you cry.” They start thinking of every person they could call or where she could be and start trying to hunt her down, but Lana covered her tracks. She's turned off her phone, didn't tell any one where she was going. Nothing at all. Beau thinks calling her best friend, Jewel would help. But Sawyer remembers Jewel and she wasn't exactly BFF material. Beau thinks otherwise. "If she calls Jewel a friend then there is something about Jewel you don’t know.” But when Jewel says she hasn't seen or heard from her, and instead invited them to come party with her, they've exhausted all their resources. There's only one missing piece- who helped her leave? When Jewel gets off the phone with Sawyer, she walks right into Lana's room to talk. “YES, he called me. Sexy southern drawl and all. He was pitiful I tell you. PI-TI-FUL. What did you do? Can you give me lessons? ‘Cause girl, you must have rocked his world.” So Lana breaks down the whole story for Jewel. Even about her not being enough for him. “Okay, so if it wasn’t enough then why is the boy begging me to help him find you?" Back in Grove, Sawyer has to leave for practice in FL, but he doesn't want to go. He hadn't slept in days. All he wants is Lana back. The only things he had left was her note and one picture. I had my note and my picture. It would have to get me through the next few days. Ethan showed up at Sawyer's to see if he really did love Lana like everyone was saying he did. When finds out it's true he goes to Lana to try to convince her about Sawyer, but she wont listen to any of it. "It wasn't enough. I'm not enough. There's no competing with Ash." "That's because there is no competition." Not having any other choice Ethan calls Beau. Beau calls Sawyer and they meet at the bar. My heart started racing and the blood boiled in my veins. The idea that Ethan had somehow had a hand in Lana’s disappearance was making it hard for me to take calm steady breaths. “You better do this quick E, cause he’s gonna blow in a second and I’m sore as shit from this week. I really don’t want to have to stop this,” Beau urged. So Ethan tells him everything, thankfully, before Sawyer beats him half to death. So he's off to find Lana. [image error] Sawyer, gets to the condo and waits for Lana to come back. When she does he lays it all out there for her. “Lana. I think about you every minute of every day. When I’m with you, my world is complete. When I touch you, I understand the meaning of life. When I lost you, I completely shattered. You. Own. Me. I love you, Lana. I love you so much. Everything about you. I love you and I will spend the rest of my life making sure you know that you are my number one. You will always be my number one.” Sawyer and Lana are all fixed now. When they go back home Lana's mother gives her some great news. She sold their house and has the tuition money it would take for all four years of Lana's schooling. “You knew." “Yes, I knew. And if you for one second try and back out of following me to Florida I will personally kidnap you and haul you there with me." Sawyer had one last thing to do which was talk to his dad about Beau. Beau was his brother and his dad needed to let him know how much he cared and loved for not only Sawyer but Beau too. So their dad goes to Beau and tells him. “A wise man once told me that you don’t have to forgive me. You don’t have to like me. But you need to know I love you. That I’m proud of you. All I needed to do was tell you. How you handle it or take it isn’t what’s important. What’s important is that you know.” How's this happy story end? Four years later and Sawyer and Lana are engaged. Beau and Ash are engaged. And things between Beau, Sawyer, and their Dad are great. Everyone got their happy ending.

Ugh. I couldn't care less about either of the couples and the main characters are so irritatingly juvenile, I had to force myself to finish this.

I took any teaser, tidbit, info on this book and absorbed it like a freakin’ sponge. But today... all was well in BookUniverse because Ms.Glines released The Vincent Brothers. I read it in one sitting. I couldn’t get away from Lana and Sawyer!!! I can’t tell you what happened between 1pm-6pm today.. Honestly, there could have been an F5 tornado happening and I wouldn't have noticed.. I was too caught up with their story. We’re introduced to Lana in the first book. And I enjoyed her in that book. She was shy, sweet. She was Ashton’s cousin that had a massive crush on Sawyer.... But in The Vincent Brothers we see a more determined side of Lana. She wants Sawyer for herself, and plans on spending the summer in Grove to make sure that happens. She’s not so plain anymore, and Sawyer notices immediately. I had my reservations at first. I was- and still am- Team Lana. I didn’t want her to be plowed over by Sawyer or anyone else. But it was the opposite. I loved that she captured not only Sawyer’s attention, but a lot of other guys’ eyes as well. She deserves it! And Sawyer.. Where’s that sweet boy?! Ah, he’s not in control of his emotions. He’s a little bit dangerous and erratic whenever he’s around Lana..... I’m not complaining over that my friends. Quite the opposite. Loved, loved, LOVED everything about this plot. I think I MIGHT even like this more than the first book. What?!! I never thought I’d say that, but it’s true!! Sawyer and Lana flirted, teased, and had amazing chemistry with each other. (view spoiler)[ And did I read that correctly... Sawyer and Lana are both inexperienced!?!?(That’s code for virgin) Amazing. That never happens.. ever. I bow down Ms.Glines (hide spoiler)] Here’s my one regret... I made a big mistake... I read this book way too quickly...Instead of my pacing myself, I devoured it too quickly!!! Rookie mistake... (view spoiler)[ I want a sequel. Weddings. Vincent Babies. ANYTHING!! Please God, in all your infinite wisdom.. TELL ME THERE’S A SEQUEL!!! (hide spoiler)] Bottom line: You won't put this book down. I promise you.

So I easily found myself glued to the pages and enjoying yet another Abbi Glines book! In the first chapter, we jump ahead 6 months from the end of The Vincent Boys. So if you haven't read The Vincent Boys first, I highly recommend you do! This time we got to follow Lana, who is Ash's cousin, and Sawyer. Their journey was hot, beyond adorable, and at times awkward, which made it feel even more real. Getting a boy to fall head-over-heels in love with you wasn’t easy—especially when he’d been in love with your cousin for as long as you could remember. - Lana So when we met Lana previously, she was sweet but also very innocent. And it seemed like she didn't really care about her hair, makeup or even clothes. But that's all changed. Lana went and gave herself a makeover, and she had a mission. Get Sawyer. You see, she had been crushing on him forever. And now Lana finally got Sawyer's attention! Yet, it wasn't all directed at her since Sawyer was still hung up on her cousin, Ash. I definitely felt her frustration and heart ache at times. But she was so relatable, even though I've never been in her shoes. She was down to earth, had a good heart and struggled with some family drama. So I was rooting for Lana to completely win Sawyer over. She was gorgeous, smart, and funny. Plus, being with her was going to drive Ashton mad, maybe even send her running right back to my arms. . . . There was that damn guilt again. I needed a beer. That always helped wash away my conscience. - Sawyer Oh Sawyer. In The Vincent Boys, we saw good boy Sawyer. But that boy was now hidden away by heartache, so we got to see heartbroken Sawyer, drunk Sawyer, sexy Sayer, and make stupid choices Sawyer lol. While he annoyed me a time or few, since he was still hung up on Ashton, I still loved him. I understood that he was grieving the loss of someone who he thought he was going to spend the rest of his life with. And it's not like she went away. She was with his brother. So while this made him somewhat tortured, he let out his inner bad boy. And that's kinda my favorite thing (tortured and bad boy). So Sawyer started reminding me an awful lot of Beau. He was possessive, jealous, direct and to the point with what he wanted and how he wanted it. He was sexy and seductive, and he physically reminded Lana how much he wanted her. I found the wakeboarding scene SO hot! Sawyer was so much more than I ever thought he could be! Sliding my hand down her hip, I pulled a leg up to wrap around my waist. A soft little moan escaped her as the V between her legs opened and pressed against the proof that I was enjoying this just a little too much. Ah, hell, that was better than good. While they had this strong sexual attraction between the two of them, they were also discovering many firsts. Which you must read about *grins hugely*! But the story also dealt with friendship, and I'm not just talking about Sawyer and Lana. I loved how Lana and Ash and also Sawyer and Beau worked on their friendships as the story progressed. So if you're looking for a fun summer read, then I can't recommend these two books enough! The storyline and characters were such a blast! And when I finished, I realized I definitely need to devour more of Abbi Glines' books! For more of my reviews, please visit:

3.5 Stars Another fun and dramatic journey into the lives of those sexy Vincent boys. Once again, the perspectives alternate between the two main characters and I really enjoyed this aspect of the story. Abbi's signature moves were all intact: bad boy with a good heart, plenty of drama, easy-to-love characters, and some smoking hot chemistry! I did enjoy this installment, however, it didn't quite approach my intense love of the first book. The Vincent Brothers continues with its focus on Sawyer and Lana. I understand that Sawyer had been betrayed and was still feeling pretty jaded, but I found his character to be largely inconsistent with that of the first book. At times, he seemed like a different person altogether. That being said, I did prefer the 'new' Sawyer, so hey, I'm not complaining! Lana, although she was the main heroine in this story, seemed to remain in the shadows throughout the majority of the book. The intention for this was clear, but it would have been nice to see her shine a bit more. The chemistry between Sawyer and Lana was pretty amazing, and that is what truly brought this story to life. I do love my alpha bad boys, however, there were times where Beau got a little...out of hand-ish. BUT...I truly love Beau, so I'd pretend that he did not just caveman grunt, 'Don't look at my woman!' when the moment arose. Problem solved. Aside from those few issues, this series as a whole was fun, sexy and unforgettable! The ending leaves no stones unturned, and no questions left unanswered...so if you're searching for a complete and detailed, sexy and angsty little love story—look no further!

Love holds the power to break you. It holds the power to complete you.” For some reason this year I`ve been reading a lot of this teen angst trash books (trash in the sense that they`re addictive but not really well developed), maybe is because I need something light to read with all the stress recently from college. Anyways, I needed something and I stumble upon this one and I just gave it a go. I actually read the first book years ago and I didn’t reread it this time around, but I didn’t struggle as much as I expected. Sawyer Vincent is the golden boy. The one who’s smart and has a bright future all planned out. But after losing his girlfriend and childhood best friend Ashton to his cousin Beau, he feels crushed. He loves them both, but six months is still no time enough to move on from the girl you thought the one. Lana McDaniel has always known that Sawyer was the one for her. For years she has lived under the perfect shadow of her cousin Ashton, and even facing the fact Ash got the guy she fell for. But now that not only Sawyer is single but her body has caught up to a more womanly version, Lana will find that maybe her time has come to act on those feelings. And this summer will change everything. “Ashton grinne and raised her eyebrows. "I can't believe you're telling me a Vincent boy brought you to Grove, Alabama and not me." Shrugging, I returned her smile. "They're heard to resist." "Don't I know it.” I’m kinda disappointed. The story felt immature, with some super cheesy lines and the characters didn’t developed that much. Sawyer was a jerk through much of the book, he didn’t care much for his friends and I know he was hurting but I just didn’t care much for him. He had a charming side and I did enjoy it when he left that burned side of himself back to focus on Lana. Lana was likeable, but I disliked the fact that she somewhat was relevant now because she was “hot”. It felt like an excuse to backup the reasons why now her and Sawyer could be a thing, more than her having an actual chemistry or building something genuine with him. “When you fall for the one that owns you, she’ll be the only one that has the power to make you cry.” Sawyer and Lana’s relationship was rocky, it either was good or bad. I felt that I never got the point where Sawyer started focusing on Lana and moving on from Ashton, and I wished there was an explicit point to it because I wasn’t sure of his actions. Their relationship had some pretty cute moments and I did see they could be good together, but I didn`t totally buy it either. As for secondary characters, Beau was so problematic with his overprotective behavior over Ashton, like he seriously didn’t allow people to look at her bad or even say one thing that wasn’t overly good. He fought for everything and didnt allow Ash to stand up for herself more and freaking trust her to just be with him. But i did notice he was the most loyal person and his relationship with Sawyer was interesting, so at the end I wasn`t as annoyed with him. To be honest, I don’t remember much of Ash in the first book, so idk if she’s acting just the same, but I hoped for her to be more independent of Beau as a person, and that didn’t happen. “Sawyer was always the Vincent boy worth fighting for. He's the special one.” I disliked the first 15 chapters, but then the story got better when discovering Lana’s struggles, which added a dimension to her I enjoyed. I felt her struggle to be loved and not being second best, and also seeing how your dreams seem to be falling apart. I liked she realized at some point she didn’t deserve Sawyer to threat her like second option, and even though her actions were a bit childish, I felt she had the more development and that at least gave the story more layers. Overall, I read this so fast because, even though I wasnt that into it, I was enjoying seeing what would happen. I know this is not a masterpiece, but I needed something light, fun and teen angst, and this definitely met the expectations.

I mean, we do still see a bit of Beau and Ashton too, but not as much as i would have liked. And the main reason why i wasn't very excited, might be because i do not like Sawyer, neither do i really like Lana. Yep, that is a big problem. "You touch a place inside of me that Ashton never did. I feel things with you, i never felt for her..." I found Sawyer to be a massive jerk, at the end of book 1, and in this one as well. He was using Lana to forget about Ashton, and that was nerve racking for me. Plus he was blaming Beau, for stealing his perfect life, and for getting everything he had always wanted. I seriously wanted to punch him in the freaking face. I mean, Beau FOUGHT for every little thing he got. Sawyer just had it on his plate! He had great, rich parents, who loved him ,while Beau was living in a shit hole with white trash parents. That stupid boy, Sawyer, had thenerve to say Beau stole his life. Ahh! "Mine," Sawyer said in a fierce voice before he grabbed my hips and begun controlling my movements. " You're mine. All mine. You're so wet." Lana was just too desperate to get Sawyer. I don't like girls like her. And i hate it that she changed her appearance, and her fashion mainly because if him. He should have loved her because of who she is, not because of the way she looks. But i think he actually managed to do the former at the end. Sawyer's and Lana's relationship was progressing a little bit too fast. Mrs Glines should take her time with her books, maybe that way she will improve them in the process too. The sex scenes where not as good as in the previous book. I'm not even sure if Lana lost her virginity yet! Thought they did do some pretty hot stuff. "... When you fall for the one that owns you, she will be the only one who has power to make you cry." I seem to only talk about the bad things, lol. Don't get me wrong, i really enjoyed this book. It was great. There were many romantic, fun, and passionate scenes that i just adored. I absolutely loved the friendships, and the family problems the characetrs were facing. I think what i most enjoyed was the way Abbi Glines writes her leading men, and the way she nailed the Southern temperament. She is fantastic at those two things. Now comes the best part - The ending! I don't think i have ever read an ending as great as in The Vincent Brothers. I did not even expect it to be good, but it was so much more than that! It was marvelous, and it had me squealing till the very last page! Loved it! And they all lived happily ever after - awww "Lana. I think about you every minute of every day. When i'm with you my world is complete. When i lost you, i completely shattered. You. Own. Me." Overall, The Vincent Brothers was a very enjoyable read. Even though i did not like Sawyer, i think he is alright now, same goes for Lana. What can i say? Sawyer definitely CAN NOT compete with Beau. This book pulled my heart in all the right places. I recommend this to Abbi Glines fans, readers who love romance with drama, and mature readers.

"When you fall for the one who owns you, she'll be the only one that has the power to make you cry" - Beau...*sigh* WOW...I am in my happy place right now...I LOVE LOVE LOVED The Vincent Brothers!! This was a PERFECT sequel..and I have to say I read it in one sitting because I cannot get enough of the Vincent Brothers and THAT accent which I hear in my head clear as day and that has a piece of my heart!! Shhh ...whispering... (I think this one might just be my fave and my ♥ belonged completely to B "When you fall for the one who owns you, she'll be the only one that has the power to make you cry" - Beau...*sigh* WOW...I am in my happy place right now...I LOVE LOVE LOVED The Vincent Brothers!! This was a PERFECT sequel..and I have to say I read it in one sitting because I cannot get enough of the Vincent Brothers and THAT accent which I hear in my head clear as day and that has a piece of my heart!! Shhh ...whispering... (I think this one might just be my fave and my ♥ belonged completely to Beau before but now ♥ ♥ Sawyer ♥ ♥ !!) The Vincent Brothers picks up 6 months after the break-up of Sawyer and Ashton. Sawyer is still hurt, heartbroken, and angry trying to come to terms with seeing them together every day and adjusting to the fact that his brother is with the girl he loves.(In the Vincent Boys, Sawyer and Ashton broke up after she fell in love with Beau and him with her.) We didn't really get to know the "real" Sawyer all that well in the first book and I have to admit that because we saw him through Ashton and Beau's eyes I kind of disliked him..alot..(I feel really bad now!!). However, in The Vincent Brothers we get to hear Sawyer's voice and see things from his perspective and get how he felt about what happened with Beau and Ashton. I LOVED that! It made him real and it put his behavior into perspective! I loved getting to know Lana too as in the previous book she was there but didn't really leave much of an impression on me as a side character. So...Sawyer and Lana's journey begins when they "bump" into each other on a night out. Lana, Ashtons cousin, is there for the summer and is staying with Ashton. Lana has changed her appearance over the last six months in order to finally get Sawyer to notice her, as she has long been in love with him - "Sawyer was always the Vincent boy worth fighting for. He's the special one" - Lana Sawyer does indeed notice Lana, but unfortunately he has plans to use her as a way to make Ashton jealous and as a summer distraction for himself. His plan, (which made me pretty mad!!!) doesn't quite go as well as expected though when Lana gets to him in a way that not even Ashton did. I LOVED Lana because despite her sad personal circumstances which should have knocked her down; she stood up for herself, she was feisty, she knew what she was worth and didn't take any nonsense. Just what Sawyer needs!!! And Sawyer *sigh* he really got me mad at times but he totally redeemed himself and this one scene (won't spoil it) had me in tears and I felt all emotional!!! When Sawyer loves...he LOVES!!! I LOVED the epilogue too..I'm a sucker for epilogues and this one - PERFECT!!!! I feel kind of sad now that it's over but happy and satisfied too..(I am hoping that it doesn't end here though ;0). This series is amazing and I can't recommend it and Abbi Glines enough!!!

Uncut & Extended version This book was about Sawyer and Lana Lana has loved Sawyer since they were kids. "Sawyer was always the Vincent boy worth fight for. He's the special one." This is the conclusion to the Vincent Boy's story. The first book had more steam than this books. The first book is still my favorite of the two books. SERIES: No cliffhanger. Spinoff

I'm Team Sawyer right?? It really hurts that Sawyer was such an ass at the beginning of the book... I really blame everything on Ashton because she completely ruined him... but I kinda relate to him because when you love someone you can't just move on in an instant, you'll still want that person, I was kinda hurt reading about it actually and I find it bullshit that at the end of the book he felt that his Love for Lana was more real than his love for Ashton (*insert eye-roll*). Sawyer spent three years of emotion on one person, he must have love her right?!. I'm not completely sold on the Sawyer-Lana romance but I admit that the sexual attraction was really hot. Despite the ranting, I don't regret reading this one ... maybe I was craving for some drama or something ..

2 stars – Contemporary/YA Romance At least the first book, The Vincent Boys, had Beau as the main hero going for it. I hated Sawyer. He spent the entire book whining about losing (view spoiler)[Ashton to Beau (hide spoiler)] , even though he gave them his permission/blessing, and he treated Lana like crap. And Lana annoyed me for being such a foolish, besotted doormat. This was just way too juvenile for me.

And by hated, I mean 50-50 loved and despised the story because again, Abbi Glines wrote a story that seemed wrong at all the right places and made me ache for her heroine this time!!! (view spoiler)[SHIT WHEN DID SAWYER VINCENT TURN INTO A SEX GOD !!?!?!?! (hide spoiler)] Anyway, moving on... It really bothered me that every time the story's being told in Sawyer's perspective, he never fails to mention Ashton. It annoyed me. I had too much of Ashton and Beau already I'm tired of their dramas. Cut me some slack. What I wanna read now was Lana and Sawyer's story!!!! At first Sawyer wanted to get back at Ashton and try to make her jealous by using Lana. Sawyer turns Beau-ish by this time and he gets all dark and sexy as he spends time with Lana. Lana knows that what she shares with Sawyer could just be a ploy for Ash to go back to Sawyer's arms. But she shook this thought off every damn time it crosses her mind because she's just head over heels in love with Sawyer (ever since!). AND EVERY DAMN TIME I ROOTED FOR LANA TO WAKE UP AND STOP BEING SUCH A MARTYR! I FEEL THE PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that girls in books never realize that being martyrs just end up with them being hurt and the guys just get to enjoy hurting them more through this. UGH! It just pained me to read that Lana always forgives Sawyer for being stupid and for choosing Ashton over her all the time! Lana: idk but i really enjoyed hating Sawyer all through out hahahahah

4 Stars I strongly disliked the first in the series and I felt maybe I was just too old for the YA drama but I actually really liked this one. Such a sweet epilogue and Lana was a sweet little cutie pie. Remember those day of wanting someone but he was mooning over someone else. (ahhh, those days;p) Now, Sawyer had me all over the place. Loved him one moment then despised him for using poor Lana. He was upside down, topsy turvy, then up, then sideways, and I finally loved him. Whew! 2 1/2 to 3 stars Nothing particularly wrong with this book other than it's too Young Adult and cliched for me. If you like the Young Adult genre you'll probably enjoy this story.
