4 stars!!! I love Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive series, so when I saw there was a new novella coming out, I was more than a little excited to read it! Martha is David’s ex and Ben’s sister, so she’s a big part of the Stage Dive family. She has made mistakes in her past, but I feel like she genuinely has changed. She is still herself, but she regrets things she’s done in her past. Her love interest is Sam, the head of Stage Dive security. Sam is a big old teddy bear. I loved him! He and Martha together seemed like an unlikely couple, but they made sense. And their chemistry was off the charts! After reading this novella, I want to go back and read some of my favorite books in this series. I miss these characters! They are so much fun. This novella was a fast read, but it was full of heat and heart. Definitely one I’d recommend for all fans of the Stage Dive series! “You’re so beautiful, Martha. Every part of you. I want you to feel cherished.”

Quick, cute, and sweet. This book is a fast read but one to add to the StageDive pile for this author. Sam Knowles the strong body guard for the Stage Dive Group somewhere along the line in the many years he’s known Martha Nicholson, fell deeply in love with her. So when he finally makes his move it’s a fast moving romance that sweeps us off our feet. This story is told all in the Heroine POV. I wish we could have gotten more of Sam’s view. I would have felt more connected to him. But he’s imposs Quick, cute, and sweet. This book is a fast read but one to add to the StageDive pile for this author. I love reading about rockbands, it's actually one of my favorite genres and the more famous they are the better. So it shouldn't be a surprise that the "Stage Dive" series is one of my all time favorites. Especially "Lead" ... I have a major Jimmy crush going on and so I re-read his book all the time !! I am happy to say that she totally redeemed herself in my eyes and really....doesn't everyone deserve a second chance ?? I think Saam and Martha were pretty awesome together. Sam has had feelings for Martha for a very very long time. No that she is back, the sexual tension between them is through the roof ;) These two were a perfect ,atch and I am glad they both found their HEA... I also very much enjoyed visiting with the Stage Dive crew again...Makes me want to do another re-read !! It was sweet, funny and HOT ... Highly recommended to all Stage Dive fans ;) My reviews are posted on DirtyBooksObsession Follow Us on➦

Sam has been in love with Martha for a decade, but she never noticed him like that... But she does now. How could she not. All those muscles and that ex Navy SEAL hotness... ═══════════════════ Aww, that was adorable. Finally back in the Stage Dive World! Oh Mal - how I missed you!!!!! He's the best thing about any and all Stage Dive books - sorry other guys and girls, but Mal is the greatest. Idiot. Mostly. But still - I just adore him. But Sam is amazing too. He's just so secure in his love for Martha - he knows it will all happen one day ... she just might take a little longer to get there ... But it's a cute and funny and very sexy little journey for the reader to witness. Especially all the Mal moments! I really enjoyed this little novella. It was a bit short and a bit too insta - even though it took them a decade to get together. But it was great to be back in that world again for an hour! Will we get Adam/Aaron's book one day?????? ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

As you can imagine, book 1 was messy, but oh so yummy! Martha has left the East Coast and comes back home to be with her brother Ben and his family. Watching her squirm and seeing her try to fight her attraction towards Sam, had me living!! #sigh. I loved the dynamic of their relationship. Sam pacified Martha and was protective. He's just a big teddy bear. She felt safe in his arms, but still maintained control. It was wonderful to see them fall for each other! This book just made me realize how much I missed this series and these characters! Watching how far they've come and seeing them together like the tight knit family they are, made me teary eyed 😢. This novella was a fast read and such a tease. I'm a sucker for them and I wanted more!! Thank you, Kylie for bringing us back!! 😍 *AN ARC WAS KINDLY PROVIDED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.*

Strong was a Stage Dive Novella by Kylie Scott. I loved the Stage Dive series. Frankly, I loved all of Scott’s series to date. Strong was a follow up to Martha, Ben’s sister and the lead Security for Stage Dive, Sam. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this one since Martha had done some horrific things in book one, Lick, in order to keep David and Evelyn apart. However, it was good to clear the air, especially since Ben was such a great guy and family was important to him. With that said, Stron Strong was a Stage Dive Novella by Kylie Scott. Although well written, it was hard for me to relate to the characters. For me, she was such a villain previously that I would have liked to have seen her development. As expected in a novella, Scott got straight to the point without filling in too many details. As such, I was craving more. Otherwise, it was lighthearted, a quick read and enjoyable. It also set the stage for the newest musician Adam. Hopefully we’ll see his story soon.

I love how Martha comes home to regroup and find herself after a traumatic incident away and in the process she finds what she truly has been missing: a genuine connection with friends and family and a man that had been waiting for her for a decade! I thought this story was a fun, quick love story with a lot of heart. It was fantastic to be back in that world and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula *** Oh man, reading Strong felt like I was attending a family reunion! Well, considering the Stage Dive crew are like brothers and their wives fit right along with them, I’m not surprised that I felt this way. But I was surprised about the fun dynamic between Sam and Martha. It seems that they’ve been having a bit of an unrequited romance for the past ten years. Each totally hot for the other, but neither doing a damn thing about it! It was so fun watching them get over themselves—and their hangups—to finally get together. I loved how Sam made Martha a better person just by being him, and I really liked to see Martha grow up and mature and finally realize that she’s better than her past behaviors. Strong was a fun, quick and dirty read and such a nice catch up with some of my favorite characters! ~ Missy, 4 stars

She has a bit of history with David and caused a few issues between him and his wife Ev but that was so many years ago that it shouldn’t be too awkward spending time with the band again right? The guy she can’t seem to stop thinking about these days is Sam Knowles, the band’s head of security. He is not her usual type but there is something about this solid, quiet man that piques her interest. As much as Sam doesn’t want to think about Martha, he can’t seem to take his eyes off her, in fact he’s had them on her for years. ‘Considering I’ve been waiting for you for almost a decade, I think I’ve got a pretty good understanding of what goes on in that gorgeous head of yours.’ Lizzie seems hell bent on getting these two together and after a bit of sneaking around they are thrust together to face their attraction towards each other. Lizzie isn’t the only one poking them, Mal can’t stop talking about ‘Marty’ hooking up with Sam and he injects his own little brand of Mal-sisms that had me laughing out loud throughout this story. I loved coming together of Martha & Sam, it wasn’t a fairy tale story but one that was ten years in the making and perfect for them. This is a novella in size but it felt like full length novel, I loved this and want more!

The OG... The reason I fell in love with rocker contemporary romance! The Gang is back!!!! David, Jimmy, Mal and Ben are back with their significant other.... I admit I was a little apprehensive about reading Martha's story...after all, she did leave a bad taste in our mouth after the tantrums and epic drama-rama she tends to pull whenever she was around the group... BUT...I just had to read it too. I mean come on, Sam... The every faithful, the ever confident, the ever loyal Sam was to be the love interest for the Queen B aka Bratty Martha?! I was eager to read the magic of Kylie Scott's writing. I will say this, everyone needs a Sam Knowles in their life. He is the calm to the storm, the shoulder to lean on...the complete opposite of Martha. I am really surprised by Martha in this book. I guess age does make one wiser because Martha ... I honestly felt bad for her in this book ...which is saying a lot. Behind all that catty, spoilt, bratty exterior...Martha is a little insecure, a little lost yet at the same time she is a force to be reckoned with. Martha is a shrewd business woman, has a wicked sense of fashion and what do you know... a shit ton of patience. Sam and Martha make the most unlikely pair at first glance but somehow they really go well together. She is the wildness that Sam needs in his life and likewise he is the calm she needs in her ever present drama filled life. hahaha I really enjoyed reading this beauty of a novella. Fast paced with just the right amount of love, angst and epic cameos by secondary characters. Strong is a must read by everyone especially all you Kylie Scott fans out there. I was so excited Kylie Scott was writing this novella and diving back into this series (see what I did there LOL), and I wanted to love it and while there were elements of Strong I really enjoyed, sadly I just could not get into the romance aspect of this book. I’ll admit I can carry a grudge and I have a big one, no scratch that a HUGE one against the heroine in this book and while I loved the hero, his insta-love with a stark raving lunatic b*tch was just too much for me to accept. That all be I was so excited Kylie Scott was writing this novella and diving back into this series (see what I did there LOL), and I wanted to love it and while there were elements of Strong I really enjoyed, sadly I just could not get into the romance aspect of this book. I’ll admit I can carry a grudge and I have a big one, no scratch that a HUGE one against the heroine in this book and while I loved the hero, his insta-love with a stark raving lunatic b*tch was just too much for me to accept. That all being said, I loved being back with the band, their significant others and their offspring and I was excited about their new prodigy, but I just wanted a better romance. Throughout the Stage Dive series of books Martha Nicholson proved time and time again that while an organized and capable assistant at the beginning of the series she was also a vindictive shrew and she raised her ugly head more than once. While Ms. Scott did her best to make her somewhat sympathetic and show a softer side of her, I’m not as forgiving as the characters in this book and I just never bought it. I also for the life of me can’t understand what a good man and Stage Dive’s executive protection officer, Sam Knowles, saw in her but apparently he saw something that kept him hopeful for going on 10 years and despite his reasoning for waiting, I still question it. The sexual chemistry was there between them and those scenes where scorching hot, but I never felt their heads and hearts connecting; it just all seemed too rushed and in all honesty one sided for the majority of the book. So needless to say, I had a hard time buying their relationship. What I did love is we see a lot of the Stage Dive guys and even though they too interested and invested on what is going on with Sam and Martha especially my crazy Mal, I enjoyed being in their presence again way more than I could have imagined. The chemistry between these guys and the love they have for their spouses and children shone through. While a bit disjointed and despite my disappointment in the romance part of Strong, I still found much to enjoy in it. One thing is for certain, being is the Stage Dive world once again is never a bad thing.

Quick(ish) Review Strong by Kylie Scott 3* It’s good for those have read the series and want that last little taste of their HEAs, because those are my favorite scenes, no doubt. Getting to hang out with the Stage Dive again was a blast and exactly as I’d expect. If you’ve come just for the new romance though, it was ….not my favorite. As much as I’d wanted to get into There’s little there to entice and it wraps up in a way that didn’t excite, it just felt like an afterthought. **ARC provided by au Quick(ish) Review Strong by Kylie Scott 3* It’s good for those have read the series and want that last little taste of their HEAs, because those are my favorite scenes, no doubt. Yep, i know that there was sentiment between them for a long time and i really enjoyed the foreplay (It was kind of sexy!!!), it still felt too rushed, especially from Sam's side!!! I also think that the way he was talking to her in their private moment was too... cheesy, i think!!! Overall, it was a nice, quick funny and sexy reading!!!

It's been a while since I have read the Stage Dive Series so at first I couldn't remember Martha and then all of a sudden it came rushing back to me, Martha is Ben’s sister and David’s ex, and holy cow was this was a nice change from the way Marty use to act. Sam was great and it was nice to see him finally get what he wanted....Martha. It feels as if this relationship was ten years in the making and it was great, the chemistry was on fire and even though this was a novella sized story you don't feel as if it was rushed at all. I really enjoyed spending time with all of the band members but Mal will always be my favorite, I absolutely love him and his jokes. This was a nice little glimpse into their world to see what has been going on with the band and what is happening with each of the couples. If you are new to the Stage Dive series why not jump in and see what you have been missing I promise you wont be disappointed. Happy Reading!!!

3.5 badass and the bitch stars I will take any chance I get to revisit with the boys of rock band Stage Dive, which is why I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this novella. Though it can be read as a standalone, it will definitely mean more to fans of the Stage Dive series as we get to go back into their world for a different kind of romance. This is the story of Martha and Sam. Martha is the sister of Ben, from Deep, ex-PA for the band, and the ex-girlfriend of lead guitarist, David. Sam, an ex-SEAL, works security for Stage Dive, and has been around since the beginning of the series, existing in the background, and I liked that he is finally getting his story told. Martha has been living in New York and has moved to Portland feeling broken and a bit lost. She’s always been a bit of a bad girl, she’s closed-off, brash and bitchy, she’s made mistakes in the past, and she’s not proud of them, but she’s grown and changed. And though she’s a hardass who is alone, and that’s the way she likes it, her sister-in-law Lizzy is going back to school so she’s going to help look after her two year old nephew. It’s far out of her comfort zone, but she needed to come home, reluctantly needing her family around her and to get a fresh start, even though it means being around the Stage Dive boys again, which is bound to be all kinds of awkward. But as a bonus, it means she’ll get to see Sam again, and she’s been attracted to the big badass for years. It’s clear that the “Executive Protection Officer” has feelings for Martha as well. He may be stoic and laid-back, but he’s also vigilant, and he recognises that all is not well with Martha so he’s there by her side from the very beginning, putting himself right up in her face, whether she wants him there or not. “You never did like being out of control of a situation.” “Stop acting as if you know what’s going on in my head all the time. You don’t!” He chuckled, the sound and the vibration of his strong chest against my side much too pleasant. “Considering I’ve been waiting for you for almost a decade, I think I’ve got a pretty good understanding of what goes in that gorgeous head of yours.” “Almost a decade?” Sam is so straightforward and no-nonsense, and I love that! He’s wanted Martha for years, but he’s been biding his time waiting until she was ready. And even though she’s not the most likable of people, she appeals to him like no other and he knows exactly how to manage her and her prickliness. “Why do I always feel like a child throwing a tantrum around you?” “I definitely don’t think of you as a child.” “Yes, I’m aware of that. Your huge hard-on is sticking into my hip.” “Like I said, I’ve been waiting a long time. Just ignore it. God knows, I’m trying to,” he said. “As for the other, you do enjoy a good tantrum from time to time. But I rather enjoy your sharp edges. Keeps me on my toes.” He’s full of alpha declarations about them and their future, whereas she wants sex only and to keep her emotional distance. Sam doesn’t care about that, finally taking the chance he’s always wants and disregarding her reluctance about it all. The woman never even stood a chance. “I’m using you for sex and that’s all that’s happening between us right now.” His brows rose. “You’re using me for sex?” “Yes.” “Huh.” “Is that all you have to say?” I asked. “Well…always happy to be of service. Whenever you’re ready.” Nails digging into the back of his neck just a little, I cocked my head. “Is that a dare I’m hearing, Sam?” “Martha, my love.” His smile, it was pure predator. “You bet it is.” Confession: I went into this book not realising who it was about. It wasn’t until I was reading it and found myself not warming to Martha (despite how much she had supposedly changed from the past) that I went back to Lick to look for some details and then my memory came back and woah. Possibly a risky move by Scott writing a story for the villain from book #1 in the series – especially after she wrote her so well and made her such a nasty bitch. And going back to read over her actions with Dave and Ev just made me hate her all the more, and even though I really enjoyed this novella, Martha never grew on me. But Sam certainly does, and that’s the important thing. And you’ve got to admire a man who can have such strong feelings for such a dislikeable person The big man tipped his chin, then his hands slowly curled into fists. “Martha, since you don’t seem to have noticed, let me point out something important to you. Even when you’ve done something so breathtakingly stupid that I couldn’t figure out what the fuck you could possibly have been thinking, I have still always been on your side.” The highlight of this novella for me by far, was catching up with the Stage Dive boys. I love, love, love these guys and the scenes where they’re all hanging out together are just gold – especially with Mal is in fine form as always. “That was weird.” David grunted. “Of course,” said Mal. “It’s always weird when unresolved sexual tension boils over like that. Still, gives me something to report back to Anne tonight. We’ll have a good gossip about y’all then give making a baby another turn or two. Maybe even three if my wife is lucky. And that girl was born lucky.” Jimmy’s lips flattened. “I think it’s great that you’re planning on starting a family. But I can honestly live without the daily updates regarding your sex life, man.” “But you don’t have to, Jimbo. That’s the beauty of it, I’m more than happy to share.” I enjoyed this one. My dislike of Martha definitely impacted on my overall feelings, but Sam was great, the Stage Dive boys were better, and I loved the opportunity to be back in this world – if only for a little while. 3.5 stars (rated up .5 thanks to Mal) An Advanced Review Copy was generously provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't care for this at all. The romance didn't work for me and I wasn't feeling the characters. Honestly, I don't find Mal's lack of a filter cute at all instead it is irritating. The band members seem to live in each other's pockets. Also I vaguely remember the h being the antagonist in the first book I think.

I am not usually one that gravitates to novellas. They tend to leave me wanting more, or simply don't leave me sated...but when I saw this one, I SIGNED THE FUCK UP! I loved LICK like it was my job...I've read and loved the whole series but David and Ev...they were my favs. SO when I saw Martha was going to have her own story I was not only surprised but in full anticipation mode. Because you knew the players and were already comfortable and connected this novella worked and I LOVED IT. I was so appreciative of this glimpse I quickly jumped into a re-read of Lick and all the other players. Thank you Ms. Scott for reminding me how much I love and missed the Stage Dive crew.

It was so AMAZING being back in Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive series; I adore these rockers, their women, and their shenanigans, especially from a certain drummer;) So, anytime I can reconnect with Mal, David and the rest of the band in their world, I call it a good day. But, I can’t even begin to express the trepidation I felt when I saw that villainess, Martha Nicholson, was going to be the female lead in STRONG. But, I can’t even begin to express the trepidation I felt when I saw that villainess, Martha Nicholson, was going to be the female lead in STRONG. Fans of this series know exactly why she’s enemy number one when it comes to the drama she caused for David and Evie and her theatrics and spoiled brat attitude definitely didn’t win her any points with me. I’ll admit…going into STRONG, it was difficult not to already be biased when it came to Martha and her desire for Sam. I never felt like she was genuinely sorry for her past words and actions, but I did my best to stifle my preconceived notions of her as I dove into her story, and while I can’t say that I truly like Martha, what I can say is that she proves herself to be better than her past self without seeming fake and I appreciate that she was able to make amends in small ways and learn to accept her role/position as a member of the Stage Dive family. What’s not to love about security guard, Sam Knowles?! The reason I find Sam so damn amazing is because despite who Martha was in the past and the reprehensible things she said and did, Sam saw the real her - the one hidden behind her bitchy exterior and bad behavior - and, I have to say, I loved witnessing Sam stronghold Martha and tame her mouth when necessary. It’s not that he was putting her in her place; it’s just that she needed a nudge here and there, and it was about time he was the one who gave it to her! The title for Martha and Sam’s story is quite poignant; it resonates multiple meanings throughout the course of the story line…the strength of their feelings for each other…Sam’s physical strength…their strong personalities…the bond they end up forming…all of these ideas depict two people who have been around each other for over a decade but are only now strong enough to take a chance…to risk it all to be together. Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive series is one of my absolute favorite collections of rocker romances. I loved catching up with the entire cast and crew, and I can’t get enough of Mal’s antics and the love and devotion of this badass rockers to their wives and their families. I might just need to do a reread now and rediscover why this series and these characters made such an impression on me! 4.5 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

I wasn't crazy about the final book in the Stage Dive series, so seeing that this book was about one of the biggest things I hated in that previous books should have turned me off of it. However, I am extremely OCD about reading a series, so I had to take a shot at this one. I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I loved seeing how Martha had grown up in this story! The character growth she exhibited was definitely realistic, especially since it was evident that she still had more growing to do! Sam's devotion was a little unbelievable, especially since there were really no outward signs of him being into Martha before now. Martha's interest in Sam felt a bit like desperation, because she was so uncomfortable around the couples of the band, especially her ex, Jimmy. This made the romance feel a little rushed to me. However, I really loved catching up with all the couples in the band! It was great to see how things were going for them, and it was a bit of a trip down memory lane for me! All in all, it was a great way to end the series!

Who knew I'd grow to love Martha? I sure didn't know. But that is exactly what happened. From the beginning of the Stage Dive novels (which, by the way, you do not need to read first) Martha was...well...a witchy woman. She's all growed up now though. She's matured, yet still keeps that strong backbone and quite a thick veneer. Sam sees her for exactly who she is, however. Turns out, he always has. And he's not letting her call the shots right out of a relationship with him. He's waited too long. I Who knew I'd grow to love Martha? I sure didn't know. But that is exactly what happened. They're just perfect for each other and this was a great little morsel to keep me tied over until the next Kylie read!

"He made me wish I knew anatomy better. So I could put a name to all of the bumps and bulges in his shoulders and arms." I devoured this delicious taste of my beloved Stage Dive series. Yes, it can be read as a standalone, or introduction to the author. But, if like me, you are already a fan, you will melt into a puddle when you get to spend time with the band family again. I was in heaven hanging out with that crazy crew and their families. Which is exactly how Sam encountered the object of his obsession, Martha. She's been avoiding her attraction to him for years. But now that she's back in town, and in very close proximity, the sexual tension is so thick that the big-mouth band family can't let it slide. Nope, prepare to be entertained. Sam is a badass security guard, though he prefers to be called an executive protection officer. When it comes to Martha, she can call him anything she wants as long as she's calling him. He's been waiting for her to be ready, but his patience is wearing thin. She doesn't deny that she's a badass bitch, but what she doesn't know is that he likes her that way. The question is, who's gonna be on top? Grab your copy of Strong, you won't be disappointed. In fact, I'm sure you'll be joining me as we anxiously await whatever this brilliant author decides to tackle next. The line forms here...

*3 Stars* ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review. As much as I love the Stage Dive Series, and Kylie's books, this one just wasn't that captivating to me. I couldn't connect with either of the main characters, and things seemed to move way to fast for me. This may be a personal thing for me, because obviously with the book being a novella, it is only short, so there isn't a lot of room to elaborate the same way as in a full length novel. 3.5 stars rounded up. If you liked the Stage Dive books (and I did, mainly books 2 and 3), then this one's worth a read. You get a fun revisit with your old friends and their kids a few years down the track. Mal is funny and silly as ever. Ben and Lizzy's kid is a bit of a brat, though. The story itself is about Sam, security officer for Stage Dive, who's apparently been in love with Martha for 10 years but never told her. He was still 'waiting'. Hmmm. I found that a little hard to swallow, actu 3.5 stars rounded up. If you liked the Stage Dive books (and I did, mainly books 2 and 3), then this one's worth a read. The story itself is about Sam, security officer for Stage Dive, who's apparently been in love with Martha for 10 years but never told her. He was still 'waiting'. Hmmm. I found that a little hard to swallow, actually. Buuutttt it's a novella and to enjoy them you just have to go with the flow and accept a few things you might cavil at in a full-length novel. Martha is the h - Ben's sister, and the (very) former girlfriend of Dave from Stage Dive. Martha wasn't a very likeable character in the other books, actually, and I still didn't really love her in this either, although she has mellowed somewhat. You can see inside her head a little more to see her motivations for some of what she did in the past. Martha and Sam get together pretty quickly (it's a novella, remember?) and their story is fine. Sam is really lovely with Martha actually, patient and understanding (and sexy! apart from the shaved head - not a fan) There was one full-on scene of oral sex that was a little too explicit for me. I know, it's just me. Others will enjoy it. But I did feel uncomfortable - to me it almost felt as if I were reading porn, and for me, romance authors don't need to go there. But apart from that, it was an enjoyable read. I liked that a new character was introduced - Adam - a talented young musician that Ben is mentoring. I hope that Ms Scott sees her way to writing a book for Adam - I presume that's why his character is there, and he certainly has potential to be an interesting future H. I haven't really enjoyed any of Ms Scott's more recent books, but in this one for me she's back to her earlier form. Worth the read.
